Education:

  • MD: University of Pennsylvania
  • Residency: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
  • Fellowship: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania

The theme of Dr. DeLisser's research is leukocyte-endothelial and endothelial-endothelial cell interactions. Specific projects involve studies on the structure function relationships of the platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (PECAM-1), leukocyte recruitment into inflammatory sites and the role of cell adhesion molecules in angiogenesis.

Dr. DeLisser's clinical interests include chronic pulmonary vascular disease and chronic interstitial lung disease, as well as medical ethics. Dr. DeLisser is married to Opal DeLisser, a critical care nurse and has two sons, Jason and Horace Jr.
